Current Opportunities

Settlement Processor

Responsibilities include:

  • Process incoming file registrations to include: reviewing documents and sales contracts, entering data into software program, obtaining property tax information, and requesting title information
  • Enter new title orders into Title Express
  • Generate and fax title and survey orders
  • Process cases through settlement
  • Coordinate with agents, lenders, and/or sellers and buyers to obtain any outstanding information
  • Schedule settlements with all parties
  • Review all incoming information and documents for accuracy and completeness, including but not limited to title work, surveys, trust agreements, and wills
  • Correct any existing title problems, e.g. unreleased trusts, Mechanics Liens, and Judgments
  • Prepare all settlement documents, including but not limited to the HUD-1 Settlement Statement
  • Prepare preliminary disbursement sheet and updates when HUD-1 is changed at settlement

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of four years of relevant work experience in the title/settlement industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Title Express preferred; Microsoft Office proficiency required

Post Closer

Responsibilities include:

  • Receive files from settlement attorney, and immediately review all documents, ensuring that they are properly signed and notarized
  • Verify that all monies have been received from all sources
  • Ensure compliance with all requirements of title commitment
  • Keep a daily updated settlement calendar
  • Prepare final disbursement sheet, balanced to zero or accompanied with an explanation such as escrow held, and disburse funds as appropriate, including cutting checks, sending outgoing wires and coordinating assignments of funds
  • Prepare, copy, and forward lenders’ packages
  • Prepare Certificates of Satisfaction, Releases of Judgment and/or other documents for transmittal to lender with payoff
  • Maintain log books for incoming wires, outgoing wires, and escrows

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of four years of relevant work experience in the title/settlement/mortgage or other related industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Title Express preferred; Microsoft Office proficiency required
